Punjab Revenue Authority meeting at RCCI

Rawalpindi: staff reporter :The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Saqib Rafiq has said that lowering tax rates and a close partnership between Revenue Authority and Business Community can help the Government to achieve the revenue targets.

Addressing the meeting of Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) at chamber house, he urged for rationalizing the tax rates and added that chamber platform is available for awareness with respect to e-IMS, POS installation and Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS).

Commissioner PRA, Tahira Javed said that the PRA aims at providing maximum facilities to taxpayers. She appreciated RCCI role in providing a platform to address the grievances of traders and also welcomed the suggestions including incentivizing credit and debit payments, compliance, appeals, audit and social protection of taxpayers.

Matters related to the registration and show cause notices, withholding tax and compliance related issues came under discussion.

PRA team team including Saaima Yunus Additional Commissioner, Arslan Tariq, Enforcement Officer,  Afshan Nazeer, Enforcement Officer, Sobia Anum, Enforcement Officer, Hira Rauf ,Audit Officer, Adeel Ahsan, Audit Officer, visited Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).

President RCCI Mr. Saqib Rafiq, group leader Sohail Altaf, Senior Vice President Muhammad Hamza Sarosh, Vice President Mr. Faisal Shahzad, Chairman Standing  Committee PRA, Faraz Fazel, representatives of trade and restaurant associations and distinguished RCCI members were also present on the occasion.
