CPEC and My Life
I am very grateful to the China Embassy Especially Great Friend of Pakistan Mr.Liuchang intelligent Diplomat for giving me this opportunity to express my views about the impact of CPEC on my life and the lives of the people of my region.

非常感谢中国大使馆，特别是巴基斯坦的好朋友、睿智的外交官刘畅先生给我这个机会，就CPEC对我和我所在地区人民生活的影响发表我的看法。
I belong to Hazara Division, and Hazara Division is one of the most beautiful regions of Pakistan, due to its mountains, valleys, and beautiful lush green forests, this region is famous all over Pakistan and even the world. And the total population of Hazara Division is 61 lack 88736 and it has a total of eight distri、cts including District Abbottabad, District Haripur, District Mansehra, District Battagram, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Kolai pallas, Kohistan, and the area of Targhar.
我来自哈扎拉地区，哈扎拉是巴基斯坦最美丽的地方之一，因为它的山脉、山谷和郁郁葱葱的绿色森林，这个地区在巴基斯坦乃至世界上都很有名。哈扎拉分区的总人口超过六百万，共有八个区，包括阿伯塔巴德区、哈里普尔区、曼谢拉区、巴特格拉姆区、上科希斯坦区、下科希斯坦、科莱帕拉斯区、科希斯坦和塔尔加尔区。
But if we take a look before CPEC, in 2015 when this project was about to start, there were countless rumors about it. At that time, I was a student at a National University of Modern Languages Islamabad and I asked my father why this project is being presented in a negative way by European and Indian media. Then my father said that you are a student and the work of a student is to research and know why China is investing so much in Pakistan. Then I started my research with the aim of finding out why China is so interested in Pakistan and whether there will be real change in Pakistan in the coming years through CPEC. Then in 2018, when for the first time the practical effects of CPEC’s motorways and highways were seen on the lives of the common people, I saw them.
2015年，在CPEC项目即将启动之际，曾有无数关于它的传言。当时我还在伊斯兰堡国立现代语言大学读书，我问父亲为什么欧洲和印度媒体要以负面的方式报道这个项目。父亲告诉我说：“你是一名学生，你要好好学习，学有所成，将来去研究和了解中国为什么在巴基斯坦投资这么多，自己去探究事实，不要道听途说。”从那以后，我奋发图强，立志要学有所成，报效祖国。在之后的学习生活中，我慢慢开始了我的研究，我想知道中国为什么会对巴基斯坦如此感兴趣。通过CPEC，巴基斯坦在未来几年是否会真的会发生变化呢？直到2018年，当我看到巴基斯坦的老百姓们通过CPEC建成的高速公路，生活得到实实在在的提升后，我才真正明白了中国帮助巴基斯坦的意义。
There are many projects running under CPEC, if I talk about Hazara region, then a revolutionary era has started after 2018 with the construction of roads. Apart from this, Havelian Dry Port is a very big investment opportunity for Hazara region. Hatar Special Economic Zone, Suki Kinari Hydro Power Projects, Dasu hydropower project Mirpur Muzaffarabad Mansehra Road, Havelian Thakot Highway are the projects that will play a very important role in the development of this region.

In this way, if we look at Havelian Dry Port, it is divided into three parts, which include track up gradation, increasing line capacity, increasing train speed. Apart from this, Havelian Thakot Highway is also a very important project. This highway will connect Havelian with Thakot, which is located on the border of China. This highway will be very useful for the trade between Pakistan and China.
哈维连陆港，有三个部分，包括轨道升级、增加线路容量和提高列车速度。除此之外，哈维连-塔科特高速公路也是一个非常重要的项目。这条高速公路将连接哈维连和位于中国边境的塔科特。这条高速公路将对巴基斯坦和中国之间的贸易发挥不可替代的重要作用。
In addition to these projects, there are many other projects running under CPEC in Hazara region. These projects have brought a lot of positive changes in the lives of the people of Hazara region. The construction of roads has made it easier for people to travel. The construction of dry ports has opened up new opportunities for trade and investment. The construction of special economic zones has created new jobs for the people. The construction of hydro power projects will provide cheap electricity to the people.
除了这些项目外，在哈扎拉地区，CPEC还开展了许多其他项目。这些项目造福了哈扎拉的人民 : 人们的出行更加方便，陆港建设为贸易和投资开辟了新的机遇，经济特区的建设为人民创造了许多新的就业机会，水力发电项目的建设将为人民提供廉价的电力。
Here are some of the specific ways in which CPEC has impacted the lives of people in Hazara Division:
Improved transportation and connectivity: The construction of roads, highways, and railways has made it easier for people to travel within the region and to other parts of Pakistan and China. This has led to increased trade, tourism, and economic opportunities.
以下是CPEC影响哈扎拉地区人民生活的一些具体方式：
交通加强了链接：公路、公路和铁路的建设使人们更容易在该地区以及前往巴基斯坦和中国其他地区。这让贸易、旅游业和经济机会的增加。
New job creation: The construction of CPEC projects has created thousands of jobs for local people. This has helped to reduce unemployment and poverty in the region.

How CPEC has changed this region or what changes have come in the lives of the common people here due to the revolutionary projects of CPEC. I am from Hazara University, Hazara University is a very large university of Hazara Division and KP, in which about 20,000 students are enrolled and Hazara University is considered to be one of the largest universities in Pakistan, which is located in a beautiful and peace place called Shankari.The main CPEC road is passing just a 0.5 km away from the main Campus of the university. The wonderful 2.8-kilometer-long Mansehra Tunnel is just about 12 kilometers away from the main campus. The CPEC road connect Mansehra with other cities therefore communication between students and the university is easy and fast. CPEC offers great opportunities to the students and faculty of Hazara university for academic and research excellence. In this way, we can say that the students of Hazara University are directly benefiting from CPEC. If we talk about Hazara University, at this moment, not only students from all over Pakistan but also international students are studying here. Many students at Hazara University come from areas like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Punjab, and even tribal areas like North Waziristan. Their journey to reach the university to cover long distance but after of CPEC, travel has become much easier.

For example, the distance from Abbottabad to Hazara University used to take several hours due to heavy traffic, but now it’s just a 35-minute drive. Similarly, travel from Islamabad to Hazara University and beyond has become much more convenient. This improvement in connectivity has not only benefited students but has also led to an increase in awareness about national and international relations and opportunities among the local population.
过去，由于交通不发达，从阿伯塔巴德到哈扎拉大学的路程需要好几个小时，但现在只需要35分钟的车程。同样，从伊斯兰堡到哈扎拉大学及其他地方的旅行也变得更加方便。交通环境的改善不仅使学生和老师们受益，对我们许多的当地居民来说也打开了一扇了解国际热点事情的窗户。
Moreover, job opportunities have expanded, and the tourism industry has grown significantly, with a large number of tourists visiting these areas. The road infrastructure has improved, making travel smoother and more accessible. CPEC has brought about a positive change within Pakistan, and beyond.
此外，道路基础设施得到改善，人们的出行更加顺畅。就业机会扩大，旅游业大幅增长，大量游客前往这些地区。CPEC在巴基斯坦国内外都带来了积极的变化。
I am very happy to see the positive changes that have come in the lives of the people of Hazara region due to CPEC. I am sure that CPEC will continue to bring more prosperity and development to the people of Hazara region in the coming years.
我非常感谢CPEC，让哈扎拉地区人民的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化。我相信，CPEC将在未来几年将继续为哈扎拉地区人民带来更多的发展机遇，会让哈扎拉地区发展的更好。
If we look at the broader picture beyond Hazara, the infrastructure development resulting from CPEC has the potential to benefit the international community as well. It is essential that this project reaches its completion by 2030 so that both China and Pakistan can reap the full benefits, fostering a lasting and strong friendship.
如果我们从哈扎拉以外的更广阔的前景来看，CPEC带来的基础设施发展也会造福国际社会。这对于全世界人民来说都是一件意义深远的好事。该项目将要在2030年前完工，我相信中巴双方都能充分受益，建立更加持久和牢固的友谊。
